Shocked re Man with Gun Protesting PDF Print E-mail

I was shocked, as I guess you could tell, about the guy protesting outside the school were President Obama was going to speak.  I do understand about the law.  You can not just arrest someone if they do not break a law.  I do understand about the Bill of Rights and both the first and second amendments.
I do think with the fact that he had a gun and that he had that t-shirt that you would have cause to take the guy to the station and question him.  I can understand the local police not wanting to do it.  But the people that protect the President of the United States have a mandate to protect him under federal law and they in the past round up nut cases and others and sit on them until an event is over.
I have lived through the shooting of a President of the United States.  Talk about the stock market going down.. talk about pain and suffering of an entire nation…9/11 was nothing next to the murder of a President of the United States.
Did they have cause to arrest the guy …NO… He is a nut case… He moved from AZ to NH because of their gun laws!  Just the fact that you would show up at a event like that with a gun shows you are a nut case.  But you can not arrest someone because they are strange or odd.   If that was the case I might be in jail.  Smile
I think what is upsetting to me is … I feel that the gun lobby is so powerful in the United States that the reason he got away with it .. was because no one wanted to offend the gun lobby.  They did not want Fox “news” and the NRA screaming that Obama took away this nutty guy’s gun rights and then Fox and the rest of them would be screaming… SCREAMING that Obama was going to take away everyone’s guns and this was just the start of it.
That is all that would have been the news of the day.. not the health care issues that President Obama wanted the news talking about that day.

I think it is scary that you decide the safety and security of the President of the United States by worrying about offending the NRA and the right .

Now…  Keep in mind a few facts…  First people are saying …It was not a problem because they had people watching him!  So did they bring EXTRA people to watch that guy.  I do not think so.. they took some of the security detail away from protection of the President of the United States to watch him.  Now… the bad people out their are very nutty but sometimes very smart.. You do not think they are going to mark that down.. Have a knowing or un-knowing nut case at the event to draw some of the security away from the President.

Something to think about is that a person can have a permit to carry a handgun and still have something happen.. Something they might never have planned on doing or even dreamed of having take place.
We all saw that live on TV.  A man with a permit to carry a handgun has been watching TV all day and night…He is seeing President JFK and his family and the guy was a fan of JFK as many of us were at the time…He is broken hearted and very upset.  He is near the Dallas jail and hears that they are going to move the killer of JFK.  He walks in the area and there in front of him is the killer of JFK being taken to another location and Jack Ruby shoot dead Lee Harvey Oswald on live TV.  He just lost control right on the spot.
Things like that happen.  The nut case in NH might not have had any plans to do anything but he could have lost control.

Speaking of control…You have to think of people around this nut case guy carrying a gun.  It has been many years and I have not spent time keeping the skill current…But I could have taken his gun away from him in seconds.. Less than a second before he could have said “God Bless the United States.” Hell before he could have said “God.” Depending on the type of holster he had…I might have been able to fire the gun at someone without taking it away from him.  Depending on the type of holster he had I might have been able to fire the gun without taking it out of the holster.

You want to know something… That guy bring that gun to the event.. That was a bad day for the United States of America.  It was a bad day for all of us.

You want to know something else..  I may not be here to tell you “I told you so” but we have not seen or heard the last of William Kostric.  MSNBC will want to save that video.  In 5, 10 or 20 years we are going to be hearing from William Kostric.  Then they can pull out the video right away and say we have video of the guy in 2009.
I am not sure if he is going to be 88 years old and walking in the Washington Holocaust Museum or if it will happen sooner… But I saw the interview with him.

Man Shows Up With Gun at Obama’s Town Hall Event PDF Print E-mail

“New Hampshire state law is pretty clear about protecting its citizens' rights to carry firearms in public. Carrying a pistol or revolver openly is permitted without a license; carrying a concealed weapon requires a license from the state or local police.
William Kostric took advantage of that law on Tuesday to show up outside President Obama's Portsmouth, N.H. town hall meeting and hold a sign saying "It Is Time To Water The Tree Of Liberty." That invokes a phrase from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Kostric did not immediately respond to an interview request from CBSNews.com.
Portsmouth police spokesman Lt. Frank Warchol told the Boston Globe that because Kostric was on private property -- it belongs to a church near the school with the town hall meeting -- he would not be arrested. "We can't do anything about it," Warchol said. "Obviously he's on our radar screen at this time."
Kostric was there around 11 a.m. ET, before Mr. Obama even left the White House en route for the Granite State, and there's no indication he ever laid eyes on the president. Nevertheless, around that time (11:35 a.m., to be precise) MSNBC's Carlos Watson called for Kostric to be forcibly disarmed: "I cannot imagine that there aren't enough lawyers in New Hampshire who can't file some sort of emergency injunction." One of his guests added: "Why can't we get rid of him now?"
MSNBC's Chris Matthews invited Kostric on his show and wondered why "you're carrying a goddamned gun at a presidential event?" (Kostric's reply: He was there peacefully, guns aren't unusual in New Hampshire, and Americans lose rights unless they exercise them.)…”   CBS News

cpuid_memory

I found a neat program.  It is CPU-Z and you run it and it tells you all about your computer.  It will tell you the processor and all the information about it.  It will tell you the about the main board, the memory and memory card and other information.
I ran the program because I have 2 GB of computer memory and I want to add 2 more GB of memory.
It says that I am using DDR2 dual channel memory at a DRAM frequency of 333.3 MHz.

mycomputerinfo
It appears this program is free.  Great little help.  I hope I can now find the correct memory and that it does not cost to much.  I think my computer would kick ass with 2 more GB of memory.  That would give me 4 GB.

A motivational speaker who pretends to be Thomas Paine has a real name and it is Bob Basso.  There is an email going around saying the following:

“This guy's video on youtube has been so popular that Obama called him personally. He said that he was very disturbed with the video and invited him to the White House. Obama also said he wanted the White House to handle the Press and not to talk about the video or the White House visit. That's interesting.

Watch it now. This may be the best six minutes invested in your future You may have to turn your Sound Control up some.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeYscnFpEyA

He was not invited to the White House. So far as we know they do not even know about him.  He admits the above email going around is a total fake and a total like.  He admits it on his YouTube site.
He has an Open Letter to the President and he spend 30 seconds saying the email is not correct:  Open Letter to the President

The rest of his video and all his videos are very well done as you would expect from a motivational speaker but it is all crap.  He is a RIGHT WING.  The real Thomas Paine is turning over in his grave that someone would steal his name and use it in such a way.

In the above love feast from two “tea-baggers” you have Glenn Beck (mental) and Bob Basso. “Bob Basso is an American actor, writer, motivational speaker and entertainer whose outrageous antics working as a news and sports anchor in Hawaii included delivering the news while standing atop a pile of manure and reporting on the Hawaiian islands first nude beach while in the buff.Starbulletin.com: Basso busy as motivational speaker (January 7, 2008) In March of 2009, his portrayal of Common Sense writer Thomas Paine became a viral sensation on YouTube, receiving over three million hits.Zimbio: Bob Basso - YouTube's Thomas Paine calls for 'Second American Revolution' (March 20, 2009)”

Union receives threatening phone call PDF Print E-mail

On August 7th, SEIU received a threatening phone call, telling the organization that we "are going to come up against the Second Amendment." Listen to the audio and read the transcription.

I do not think threatening union men is going to scare them.  From what I have seen of union men we have more guns than the other side.  Smile
Also if the right wing is going to call and try and scare the SEIU they need to have someone call that sounds more threatening.  Hell, I just wanted to see the woman in a swim suit on the gun range.
